Microsoft finally wakes up after countless gamers criticizing the decision to have an 24-hour internet connection just to play games, and even allows people to trade-in, lend, resell, gift and rent disc.
It was a wise decision Microsoft has made considering the company’s restrictions that made people to favour PlayStation 4 as their next gaming console to adopt. Even in Amazon, about 95% of the people preferred PlayStation 4 over Xbox One due to obvious reasons.
The company made the following statement in their site:
“We appreciate your passion, support and willingness to challenge the assumptions of digital licensing and connectivity. While we believe that the majority of people will play games online and access the cloud for both games and entertainment, we will give consumers the choice of both physical and digital content. We have listened and we have heard loud and clear from your feedback that you want the best of both worlds.”
The buzz that Sony PlayStation 4 generated was obvious that Microsoft Xbox One sales will be jeopardized unless they reverse the decisions well before the launch date in the hopes that Microsoft can get larger pre-orders.
It should be added that Microsoft have made a massive investment in exclusive titles, which will end up profitable unless they decide to be as flexible as a gaming console should be.
